Community survey

In October 2024, we surveyed residents in Lower Snug and Coningham.

We wanted to learn about what matters to our local community, so that our projects, initiatives, and advocacy work aligns with local residents’ priorities.

NOW, we want to hear from residents of Snug and Electrona.

The survey in Lower Snug and Coningham gave us some great insights. Now it’s time to gauge what matters to others in Greater Snug.

The 2024 survey let us know what matters to you.

Generally, residents in Lower Snug and Coningham:

  • strongly support the Greater Snug Safe Paths Project, improved pedestrian safety, and safe highway crossings

  • support advocacy for improved bus services

  • wish to maintain a natural and ‘non-urbanised’ feel to their neighbourhood

  • support Landcare activities and coastal planting

  • value bushfire awareness and fire management.

It also let us know what you see as less important.

You told us that generally, the following initiatives were a lower priority for you:

  • extra infrastructure at Coningham Beach, such as an all-weather pavilion or more picnic tables

  • new interpretative signage along the clifftop track

  • improved parking solutions.
